I decided to observe the data from Saturday morning to Sunday morning, as one the day we observed less traffic.

The visual below shows the price, volume, and average percentage change of each product versus other products found on eBay. It seems that from 2007 — 2010 there is a pattern in the volume as prices go up and thus more traffic but quickly through 2010 — 2011 the traffic is about the same, and despite some increased volume it starts to decrease on an early weekend in the offseason. From 2003 to 2012 the traffic increased, again, with price increases. 2017 to 2018 saw the lowest volume for the last five years and is not sure whether it’s due to the 2017 Vegas shootings or not.
In Summary
One interesting statistic here: if the group of products is high (by EBay’s measure), then there will definitely be an increase in the number of reviews. However, where the majority of products are low traffic, then there may not be such an increase.
